See how Kuest teaches it

It asks before it tells, so you do the thinking and it sticks.

You: Solve 2(x − 3) = 10.
Kuest: There's a 2 outside the parentheses. What happens to each term inside when you distribute it?
You: It multiplies them, so 2x − 3 = 10.
Kuest: You multiplied the x, nice. The 2 multiplies the −3 too. What's 2 times −3?
You: −6. So 2x − 6 = 10, then 2x = 16 and x = 8.
Kuest: x = 8. Check it: 2(8 − 3) = 2 · 5 = 10. It works.

When you distribute, multiply every term inside the parentheses, signs included.

The method

How to study Algebra with Kuest

Algebra is learned by doing problems, not by watching them. Say why each step is allowed, check your answer by plugging it back in, and come back to older skills every few days so factoring and slope don't fade by test time.

  1. Start from your homeworkSnap a photo

Snap the problem you're stuck on and work it through with Kuest one step at a time, explaining each move.

  2. Ask why, not just howTutor chat

When a rule feels random, like flipping the inequality sign, ask why it works until you could explain it to a friend.

  3. See it on a graphGraphs

Graph lines, parabolas and systems to connect each equation to its picture: slope, intercepts and where lines cross.

  4. Practice mixed problemsQuizzes

Take short quizzes that mix equations, factoring and systems, so you learn to pick the right method on your own.

  5. Keep the rules freshFlashcards

Review exponent rules, factoring patterns and the quadratic formula as flashcards that come back just before you'd forget them.

  6. Fix weak spots before the testGap finder

Let Kuest find the skills you keep missing, like negative signs or fractions, and drill just those.
